Here’s another good news from the world of Television. Ashmit Patel surprised
Maheck Chahal at their European holiday and slipped a ring in her finger in the
most romantic way. The couple will hopefully tie the knot in next 6 months.
Asmit Patel and Maheck Chahal, who are with each other
for past 12 years, came into notice with the reality show Power Couple in the
year 2015. Interestingly, both have been ex-Bigg Boss contestants in the past.
While Ashmit participated in Season 4, Maheck entered the house in Season 8.
Ashmit Patel And Maheck Chahal Share A Cute Moment
While talking to Bombay Times about the special day,
Ashmit said, "I never told Maheck that I was carrying a ring with me. We
were supposed to meet her family in Norway and I wanted to propose to her in
Paris, the city of love, but it did not happen that way. We were at a cozy
restaurant in Marbella (Spain), which had a fantastic view, and I decided to
propose."
He added, "Maheck has a habit of having dessert
after dinner, and I had decided to propose then. However, on that night, she
did not ask for any dessert. So, I excused myself and asked the waiters to get
some strawberries dipped in chocolate. I then placed the ring on the plate with
strawberries, under a bowl which was placed upside."

Maheck expressing her happiness said, “I was so
surprised, that I laughed out loud. Since we were not sure which finger — right
or left — the ring should be worn on, we paused for a while. He then went down
on his knees and the entire restaurant cheered for us. It was a very romantic
proposal. We are meeting my parents and will finalize a date soon.
Talking about their marriage plans, Ashmit added,
"Hopefully, we should be married in six months. I want a destination
wedding abroad, while Maheck prefers to get hitched in India."

Maheck concluded by saying, "I can be myself with
him. He is more mature than me, so he understands situations better. The fact
that we'll soon be married is sinking in, slowly." Ashmit adds, "She
has brought a lot of positivity to my life. Though I have been with her for a
long time, it just feels like yesterday."
While Ashmit has been out of sight for a long time,
Maheck was seen on the show Kawach... Kaali Shaktiyon Se for a brief period of
time. While shooting for Kawach, Maheck injured her leg and was forced to
leave the show. Her role was taken over by Saara Khan.
